EndNote

This guide provides an overview of EndNote, a bibliographic management software.

EndNote 2025 is available for students, faculty, and staff to use. 

Gumberg Library currently provides support for EndNote 2025. We recommend updating to EndNote 2025 if you are using an earlier version.

Please note:

  • Updating to EndNote 2025 should not affect your existing library, but consider archiving your library before downloading EndNote 2025 
  • Contact EndNote Technical Support (855-258-5858; M-F, 24 hours/day) if you have trouble with the update

Duquesne-owned computers: Open Software Center (Windows) or Self Service (Mac) and click "Install" to download EndNote 2025

Student or personal computers: EndNote 2025 is available for download in the Software Catalog.

Before using EndNote, you will need to follow the six steps in this section for setting up the software to ensure that your version of EndNote will work properly with our library system, databases, and the citation styles you need.
