This guide provides an overview of EndNote bibliographic management software.

Exporting from Cochrane

1. First, run your search in Cochrane Library

2. Select the references you want to export by clicking the boxes on the left side of the screen. Select Export Selected Citation(s)

3. The Export Selected Citation(s) dialog box will open. Select RIS (EndNote) and click Download

4. Your download will automatically begin. When the download is complete, click on the file to open it. This will import your citation into EndNote, and your references will be temporarily stored in the Imported References folder. If you have set up smart groups, they will be automatically distributed into relevant groups. If not, you can manually distribute them to the appropriate group(s).
