Create Groups

Creating Groups

EndNote lets you easily organize your references into Groups for different projects you are working on. This section demonstrates how to create a Group Set with Groups. Resources showing how to create smart groups and custom groups to organize references are provided below.

To create a Group Set, like a main folder for your project:

1. Right-click My Groups
2. Select Create Group Set, type the group set name (e.g. Bullying)
3. Click Enter

To create a Group, like a sub-folder:

1. Right-click the Group Set (e.g. "Bullying")
2. Select Create Group, type group name (e.g., Adolescence)
3. Click Enter

Note: To ensure your references are well-organized, you can select and drag them to the appropriate group. It is important to create Groups and organize your references each time you import new ones.
