Exporting from EBSCOhost
We subscribe to many EBSCOhost databases, like Academic Search Elite, ERIC, CINAHL, and APA PsycINFO. Follow these instructions to download citations:
Note: You now need to make a free EBSCOhost account to export references.
- Complete your desired search.

- Select the references you want to save by clicking the check box or the drop down.
- Click the folder icon to add to a project.
If you don't have any projects, create one.
- Click My Dashboard and then click Projects.

- Select your project and then click the check box to select all of the records. Or, you can individually select the records you want to export.
- Click the Export button and select Export in RIS Format.

- Your download will automatically begin. When the download is complete, click on the file to open it. This will import your citation into EndNote, and your references will be temporarily stored in the Imported References folder. If you have set up smart groups, they will be automatically distributed into relevant groups. If not, you can manually distribute them to the appropriate group(s).
Find Full-Text Note
Find Full Text will not locate any articles from EBSCOhost.
To solve this issue:
- Download the PDF file from your EBSCOhost database and save it to your computer. If you are bulk uploading multiple PDFs, create a folder and save all PDFs in that folder.
- Manually attach a PDF file to a reference in your EndNote library. To do this, see the instructions under "PDF Files" to see how to attach a PDF to an EndNote record.
