Removing Holds

Sometimes users will no longer need things that they have requested. They may ask you to remove the hold from their account.

Selecting holds to be canceled: In the Check Out function, scan the user's ID then select the tab for holds.

In the listed item, check the box next to the hold you wish to remove, then click the Cancel Hold button

A confirmation pop-up will appear, asking to confirm the choice.

Click Cancel Hold.

Another pop-up window asking Print cancel hold notice?​ will appear.

Select No.

A note will pop up reminding you to remove the canceled hold from the shelf. 

Remove the item from the Holds Shelf if you have not already done so and then click Ok.  

Then go to the Check In function and check the item in again.  It is now ready to go back on the shelf.
