SOAPS method
Another method to evaluate sources is to utilize the SOAPS method. Check your sources for the following criteria.
SUBJECT: What is the subject of the source?
OCCASION: When and where was it created?
AUDIENCE: Who is it for?
PURPOSE: Why was it created? Why does it matter to your research?
SPEAKER: Who is the author?
