A Physician Assistant, or a PA, is a health care professional who works in a variety of settings, including hospitals and clinics. They are concerned with preventing, diagnosing, and treating patients' illnesses, conditions, and injuries.
PAs perform a broad range of activities similar to a physician, such as conducting physical exams, assisting in surgery, writing prescriptions, and diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries. PAs work under a supervising physician.
