Gumberg Library began this project in collaboration with the School of Nursing and the Office of Military and Veteran Students in 2015. Grant funds were initially used to purchase materials to support faculty and staff who work with veteran students as well as to improve curricula, co-curricular offerings, and campus services for veteran students. Since completion of the grant, Gumberg Library has continued to fund these purchases. Many of these collection resources address physical, mental, economic, and social issues that face veterans attending universities.
If there's anything we missed, please let us know by suggesting a purchase!
This project was originally funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under grant number UF1HP269840100 and title Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention (NEPQR) Program: Veterans Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree for grant amount $915,043 with no financing by nongovernmental sources.
