Finding Books at Duquesne

Gumberg Library offers a wealth of information and resources for any research project. Search our online catalog using DUQSearch to find books we have in our collection.

DUQSearch

DUQSearch is a helpful tool in searching the library catalog to find books, eBooks, and other materials. Check out the DUQSearch guide to learn more. Note: you will be required to login via MultiPass to access DUQSearch.

Scan & Deliver

Scan & Deliver is a free service for current DU students, faculty, and staff to request a digital scan be created for a portion of a material that is otherwise only available in print from Gumberg Library’s general collection.

  • See this page on Scan & Deliver for information on how to request materials!

Borrow from Other Libraries

If materials are not available at Duquesne, you can use resources like EZBorrow and ILLiad to contact and borrow from other libraries.

EZBorrow

EZBorrow is a way to request books as well as some digital media (DVDs or CDs) from nearby academic libraries in Pennsylvania. Requesting through EZBorrow requires students to login using their MultiPass.

ILLiad

ILLiad allows users to request materials such as articles, book chapters, media, dissertations, and more from around the world. To request materials, students will need to use their MultiPass login.

Suggest a Purchase

In addition to students' ability to request materials not available at Gumberg, we also have a form available to complete if there's a book, article, or other item you want the library to purchase.
