Course Reserves

Course Reserves at Gumberg Library

What are course reserves?

Course reserves are assigned readings and supplemental resources that your professors make available to their students through the library.

There are four types of reserves; print, electronic, media, and anatomical models:

  • Print Reserves are arranged by professor's last name. Ask for the items at the library's Circulation Desk. Print reserves can be checked out for limited circulation times, are generally library use only, and can be renewed one time.
  • Electronic Reserves are posted on Gumberg Library's Course Reserves site. You will need the password provided by your professor to access e-reserve materials on the page for your course.
  • Media Equipment Reserves are available to designated users permitted by the Media Department. These items must be reserved prior to checkout, and can be borrowed for up to 2 days at a time.
  • Anatomical Models are available to students majoring in Health Sciences/Health related fields. These items most be reserved prior to checkout, and may be borrowed for up to four hours, once per day.
