The Gumberg Library provides a wide array of reference works dealing with literary topics, including biographical information on authors, materials on genres and themes in literature, world literature surveys, as well as critical materials. We offer works in both print and electronic formats, in some cases the same work in both formats. Below are listed a small portion of the major print reference sets in literary studies.
Regular-sized print reference books on Literature are located on the second floor and are interfiled with the books of literature that may be borrowed. Large-sized reference works are located on the first floor, with the other Oversized Books. Many of the print reference works must be used in the library, but some can be borrowed. Those listed below must all be used in the library.
