Librarians have many assets to help you through the P&T process:
- Broad view of scholarship - librarians can help you see how your subject area fits into the big picture
- Expert searching skills - librarians can find citations of your work wherever they may be
- Ability to use information tools creatively - librarians can use a number of tools to paint a complete picture of the impact of your scholarly work
- Neutrality - librarians can provide unbiased information and the value of perspective external to your department or the P&T committee
