Gumberg Library COVID-19 resources and updates

Current Building Updates:

  • Floor 1 of Gumberg Library is closed due to construction 
  • Memorial Day Holiday Hours: Library is closed Saturday May 28 through Monday May 31

Regular Semester Library hours:

Gumberg Library's hours for the entire semester can be located here on our website. Swipe card access hours are Monday through Friday 7-8 a.m. & 5 p.m. till closing, and all weekend hours. Hours are subject to change due to inclement weather

Using Library Materials and Spaces

Gumberg Library faculty and staff are excited to see you in the building! Please visit the Info & Help page for the most up-to-date information regarding studying in the library, requesting and returning materials, and how to contact us if you have questions.

Library Spaces 

All study rooms at Gumberg Library are now reservable. Rooms can be reserved once per day and up to five times per week. Each room is limited to one person. No key pick-up is required at the front desk. Be sure to respect one another's reservations, bring your own supplies, and wear a mask.

Electronic Resources

eBooks, online journals, databases, and streaming audio and video are available to anyone with an active Multipass. Visit Gumberg's Research page and Using Electronic Resources Guide to get started.

Scan & Deliver:

  • Current students, faculty, and staff with MultiPass may initiate requests for PDF scans of articles and book chapters for which Gumberg Library owns the print version through their ILLiad account.
  • Please allow 72 hours for us to process your request.

Research Support

Gumberg's librarians are available to assist you Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5. Visit the Ask Gumberg page to connect with a  Gumberg librarian or our 24/7 chat service for research assistance.

Instruction Support

Librarians can provide instruction sessions. Please visit our Ask Gumberg page to see a list of subject librarians and arrange library instruction.

Librarians can check your course readings against library collections to find out if materials are available to students through Gumberg. Email us at gumberg-cm@duq.edu.
