Welcome box

Welcome to this Gumberg Library research guide on the poet Homer and his works, The Illiad, The Odyssey, and The Homeric Hymns. Homer was the first great writer in the Western Tradition, and his works have had an incalculable formative influence, though there are many scholars who make the case that a specific poet named "Homer" never really existed. This guide will connect the researcher to many different types of resources on this important literary figure and his works. Use the tabs that run across the top of the screen to access the different sorts of materials.
