About the Show

Mister Rogers' Neighborhood was a children's television program created, hosted, and produced by Fred Rogers that aired from 1968 to 2001 with 31 seasons total. The show was filmed in Pittsburgh's WQED station and aired on PBS (formerly NET.) - Wikipedia

"Rogers and Mister Rogers' Neighborhood identified with children's feelings and experiences; talked with children about difficult topics such as divorce, conflict, adoption, and death; assured children that they were special and that there was no one in the world just like them; and welcomed young viewers to a trolley ride into the 'The Neighborhood of Make-Believe.'" -The Encyclopedia of Human Development
