Ursula Kroeber Le Guin (1929-2018) was a celebrated American writer, best-known for her works in speculative fiction, including her science fiction works, set in the Hainish Universe and Earthsea. She received numerous accolades throughout her career, including the Hugo Award, Nebula Award, Locus Award, the Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master Award, as well as named a Library of Congress Living Legend. Her works also include collections of essays, translations, literary criticism, poetry, chapbooks, and children's fiction novels.
