National Library Week at Gumberg Library


Join us in celebrating National Library Week!

Gumberg Library is always here to help. We'll have therapy dogs, snacks, activities to de-stress, and extended hours.
  • Look for the "Librarian is In" sign on the 4th floor of the library to meet with a librarian in person, or head to "Ask Gumberg" for online assistance. 

Events happening all week:

Book Display in honor of Dr. Marinus Iwuchukw
  • Presented by the Consortium for Christian Muslim Dialogue, a selection of books will be displayed in the 4th floor Popular Reading Room to honor the life of Dr. Marinus Iwuchukwu, Associate Professor of Theology
Phenomenology Center Exhibit
  • A display of important letters, signed books, and images will be featured in the 4th floor Popular Reading Room
Finals Week "Stress Less Stations"
  • Feeling stressed? Checkout each floor of the library (1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th) to explore all of the Stress Less stations featuring dog therapy, coloring pages, magnetic poetry, snacks, drinks, bubble wrap, and more!
Finals Therapets on 5th floor
  • Tuesday: 11am-3pm; 5pm-7pm
  • Wednesday: 11am-12pm (Sensory Session); 1pm-2pm; 6pm-7pm
  • Thursday: 2pm-3pm; 5pm-7pm
  • Friday: 11am-12pm

Tuesday, 4/25: Library Endowed Student Scholarship Award Ceremony
  • Join Gumberg in celebrating the student recipient of our National Library Week scholarship at 1:30pm in the Popular Reading Room. Read Kennedy Walker's story.
Wednesday, 4/26: SGA Study Break
  • Head to the 5th floor Flex Rooms for a study break (with food!) hosted by SGA from 1-3pm.
