JoVE Lab Manual is a section in JoVE that provides a variety of detailed lab manuals for introductory biology and chemistry courses. There are three component videos for each lab:
To embed a JoVE video into Canvas, follow the instructions below.
1. When you've selected a video on JoVE that you want to include in your course's Canvas page, look directly under the video for the "<>" icon and select it.

2. You can customize how the video is titled, whether it plays automatically, and the size of the embedded video.
3. Once your customizations are done, select "Copy Embed Code".
4. Go to the Canvas Course Page where you want to embed the video and select "Edit" (note - it has to be embedded in a page, cannot be uploaded into a module directly as its own page).
5. Select the "Embed" icon.

6. Paste the embed code you copied from JoVE, then select "Submit".
7. Save your changes to the Canvas page.
JoVE has a "Create Quiz" feature where teachers and faculty can create a test to grasp how well students understood the material presented in the shared video.
JoVE tests can only be created for JoVE Education videos while logged into an instructor account.

Students will need their own JoVE accounts to take the quiz which can be created with their Duquesne emails. Instructors will need to log on to JoVE to see the students' quiz results.
