Covidence

Covidence is a systematic review tool that aids with review management and collaboration. You can upload references from most Gumberg database platforms including EBSCO, Embase, ProQuest, PubMed, and Scopus. 

Currently registered Duquesne University students, faculty, and staff can get full access to Covidence without charge.

 

Getting Started

To request access to Duquesne’s Covidence account, you must have an active duq.edu email address:

  1. Go to Duquesne's Covidence Sign-Up page
  2. Enter your information and click Request Invitation
  3. Accept the invitation via your Duquesne email
  4. Check your junk folder if you don’t see it in a few minutes
  5. The link in the email is one-time use and will expire in 30 days
  6. Log in to your existing Covidence account or sign up for a new account, which will automatically link you to Duquesne

Returning Users

If you already have a Duquesne Covidence login, follow these steps to create a new review:

  1. Go to Covidence
  2. Click Start a New Review 
  3. Complete the new review form
  4. Select Duquesne University (not your own name)
  5. Click Create Review

Invitation to Collaborate? 

If you have been invited to collaborate on a systematic review, you will receive an email and be prompted to accept the invitation. Once you click the link you will be prompted to create an account or sign in using an existing account.


Review Settings

To edit review privileges, click the Settings button at the top of the page. You will see an array of setting options.

The basic review settings header allows you to customize how many reviewers are required for screening and full text review.

  • To add additional reviewers, click Add/remove reviewers.
  • To adjust the rules and privileges that other reviewers hold click Team settings.
    • Team settings rules can specify which reviewers will be assigned for title and abstract, full text screening, and resolving conflicts.
