Women in STEM: Lillian Gilbreth

Lillian Gilbreth photo Lillian Gilbreth (1878-1972) was an industrial engineer and a pioneer in the study of efficiency. With her husband Frank (and after his death), Lillian ran a motion study business, and is considered the "mother of modern management." Gilbreth received several engineering awards. She was also name an honorary member of the then all-male Society of Industrial Engineers.
