Open Educational Resources

This guide explains OERs and provides faculty members with resources to find and create Open Educational Resources

Using and Adopting OERs

The library can assist you in:

  • Identifying Open Educational Resources that are reliable and appropriate for your course
  • Determining the copyright or licensing status of materials you wish to use
  • Identifying resources for creating your own OER
  • Finding Creative Commons and Open Access images for your own OER
  • Identifying platforms to host your OER

For assistance with OERs, contact the Gumberg Library or Reagan Harper (Opens New Outlook Email), Research and Instructional Design Librarian.

Adopting Checklist

When deciding if you want to use a resource or textbook for your course, you can reference this Evaluating Course Materials Checklist from Open Oregon Educational Resources.
