On September 27, 2016, the Center for African Studies hosted a book discussion on two recent texts on African topics published by Orbis Books. For each book, a noted scholar spoke about the book, and Duquesne University faculty responded. This guide will provide the interested reader with information about the two books, both of which are available at the Gumberg Library, as well as the comments and responses presented by the scholars at this session.
