This is a 13th century Icelandic retelling of the earlier Germanic story of the Volsung family, the most famous member of which was Sigurd, the slayer of the dragon Fafnir.
The third part of Wagner's "Ring Cycle" tells the story of the dragon slayer, Siegfried. This book is a readable translation of the libretto of Wagner's "Ring," including "Siegfried."
