Networking is extremely important as you develop your career.

Within this section there are three important networking tools and information.

  1. Accreditation and Certification- Physician Assistants must undergo an examination after graduating to be able to work.
  2. Employment and Professional Organizations- This page provides information about not only where to look for employment postings, but also tools to prepare and present your accomplishments and achievements in cover letters and resumes. Becoming involved in a professional organization allows you to communicate with other professionals and learn about new advances within the field and job or internship opportunities.
  3. Certifications and Requirements- There are several requirements Physician Assistants must maintain compliance in to obtain and continue employment.

Student Organizations

 

There is one Physician Assistant specific organization at Duquesne, in addition to the Graduate and Professional Student Council.
