Picking Up Materials In Person

  • Once library staff locate and process your item requests, they will send a pick-up notification to your Duquesne University email*. This includes EZBorrows and ILLs too! 
  • Pick up your items from the Circulation Desk on the fourth floor of the library. See our library hours to find a time that works for you.
  • A library staff member will check items out to you. Remember, you can only pick up books for yourself.

Items will be returned to the shelves if not picked up within two weeks of the email pickup notification.

Shipping Materials to You

Can't make it to Gumberg to pick up your items? That's ok. We'll ship them to you!

Borrowing items from Gumberg: 

When you receive the automated notice that your items are available for pick-up at Gumberg Library, please send an email to WeShare@duq.libanswers.com with you residential address. We ship the books to your home using UPS. 

  • Gumberg Library will ship up to 10 books once a week to a residential address (no PO Boxes).
  • This book count includes books from the Gumberg Library collection as well as books borrowed from our lending partner programs, EZBorrow and Interlibrary Loan.
  • As it is for in-person checkouts, a patron may not have more than 100 items checked out to their Gumberg Library account at a time.
