Borrowing from Gumberg Guidelines

Request books not at Gumberg Library:

E-ZBorrow - borrow books from libraries in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and West Virginia region when items are not available through Gumberg Library

ILLiad Interlibrary Loan - borrow books or journal articles from other libraries when they are not available through Gumberg Library; use this when requesting journal articles

On-Site Borrowing - allows you to check out books from other Pittsburgh area libraries, such as the University of Pittsburgh Library System or the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, if you do not have a library card. You must visit the Gumberg Library Reference Desk to get the pass.

Suggest a Purchase - If you believe that Gumberg Library could benefit from owning a book that you cannot find, fill out the form to suggest the purchase. Remember, the process will take time and you should find an alternate source for the book if you require it quickly.

WorldCat - Online catalog to search the collections of over 10,000 libraries worldwide. You can then link to ILLiad to request an interlibrary loan.
