Help with Citing

Ask your professor what style you should use for your papers and reference lists. Some prefer the style used by a specific journal and some prefer CSE.

Scientific Style and Format: The CSE Manual for Authors, Editors, and Publishers is the preferred citation style for many scientific disciplines. The 8th edition (2014) of the CSE Manual is the most current manual.

CSE has two forms, Name-Year and Citation-Sequence. Check with your professor for his or her preferred method.

Citation Management

There are several different types of software that can help you manage all of your references as you research. See the guides below for more information.

Who is citing you?

These guides will help you demonstrate the impact of your research.

Help with Publishing

Where to Publish your Research guide helps you:

  • identify journals in which to publish
  • choose the right journal to publish in
  • identify open access journals with author fees
