Social Justice and Health Care for Vulnerable Populations
According to the World Health Organization, "the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health is one of the fundamental rights of every human being."
This guide provides resources related to the topic of social justice and health care for vulnerable populations and it was created to assist the research efforts of Duquesne University faculty and students as well as educators within the field.
Duquesne University dedicates an annual symposium to address the issue of social justice in health care. The Rita M. McGinley Symposium is a
unique scholarly forum for nurses and other health care professionals in keeping with the Spiritan identity of the university.
The guide brings together selected relevant Gumberg Library resources and additional websites. Some of the links connect to resources that are only available to current Duquesne University students, faculty, and staff. These resources will require your Duquesne University ID number or MultiPass credentials if you are working off campus.
