The following websites provide free, online access to terrorism statistics. Read the information under each website to find the one that fits your research.
The Department of State's annual report on terrorism for those countries and groups meeting the criteria of Title 22 of the United States Code, Section 2656f (the “Act”).
"The Global Terrorism Database (GTD) is an open-source database including information on terrorist events around the world from 1970 through 2015 (with annual updates planned for the future)."
Updated annually. Includes information about "direct and indirect impact of terrorism in 163 countries in terms of lives lost, injuries, property damage and the physiological after effects of terrorism."
Results can be downloaded as .csv files for analysis in Excel.
