Gumberg Library COVID-19 resources and updates

 

Current Building Updates:

 

 


 

Floor 3 of Gumberg Library now houses the Student Wellbeing Center.

  • To visit Health Services, enter the library through the new 3rd floor entrance by the Brottier Lawn.
  • To visit Counseling Services, enter the library through the main 4th floor entrance and take the elevator to floor 3. 

Swipe card access hours are in effect.  Please remember to bring your Duquesne ID when you visit the library.

 

 

Face coverings are optional.

Service and Resource Updates

Current Services Updates:

Alumni and guest internet and library database access is currently unavailable. Our campus Information and Technology Services are working hard to make this available again for our valued alumni and guest researchers.

Using Library Materials and Study Spaces

Please visit the Info & Help page for the most up-to-date information regarding library hours, reserving study space in the library, requesting and returning materials, and how to contact us if you have questions.

Electronic Resources

eBooks, online journals, databases, and streaming audio and video are available to anyone with an active Multipass. Visit Gumberg's Research page to get started.

Scan & Deliver:

  • Current students, faculty, and staff with MultiPass may initiate requests for PDF scans of articles and book chapters for which Gumberg Library owns the print version through their ILLiad account.
  • Please allow 72 hours for us to process your request.

Instruction Support

Librarians can provide instruction sessions. Please visit our Ask Gumberg page to see a list of subject librarians and arrange library instruction.

Librarians can check your course readings against library collections to find out if materials are available to students through Gumberg. Email us at gumberg-cm@duq.edu.

Course Reserves

Print reserves and e-reserves are available. Place a request through the online request form or email reserves@duq.libanswers.com.
