This website was created to assist the research efforts of Duquesne University Health Management Systems (HMS) students. It brings together selected relevant Gumberg Library resources and additional websites.

What is a Health Mangement Systems professional?

Health Management Systems (HMS) professionals are an integratal part of the evolving health care deliever system.

HMS professionals possess a unique blend of skills in health sciences, business management, and information systems. They are inventors, innovators, and entrepreneurs. Through HMS professional's work, the health care deliever system can be improved and expanded.

What are the major topics of this guide?

This guide is organized into six main parts- Home, Research, Writing, Learning, Networking, and Duquesne.

The Research section divides farther into five separate categories.

  2. eBooks/Books,
  3. Evidence Based Practice,
  4. Drug Information, and
  5. Mobile Resources

The Writing section contains resources, services, and other guides to help you write more effectively.

The Learning section provides links to online tools. This section contains two categories.
