ETD Preparation & Submission: Guidelines for Graduate Students: Document Formatting

Electronic Theses & Dissertations (ETD) LibGuide

How Do I Format My ETD?

1. Review the University's ETD Guidelines.

2. Download and use the Microsoft Word ETD Front Matter Template to avoid many common formatting mistakes. Line numbers in ETD Front Matter must match those in the Front Matter Template.

If you are formatting your document in LaTeX, you may choose to use the LaTeX template created by Matthew N. Srnec (2017).

3. You may choose to use the Formatting Checklist to review your document for common formatting errors during and after writing. This is not required and does not need to be turned in with your submission; it is included simply to guide your thinking.
