Women in STEM: Dorothy Vaughan

Dorothy VaughanDorothy Vaughan (1910-2008) worked on the space program at NACA and then NASA as first a "human computer" and then as a computer programmer. Working during a time of segregation, she was the first black supervisor at NACA as the head of the West Area Computing unit and one of the few women given leadership positions.
