Frequently Asked Questions about LibQUAL+

  1. How long will the survey take?
    The survey typically takes 5 minutes to complete.


  2. Can I skip questions that don't apply to me?
    Please do not skip any questions in the survey.
    If you feel a question does not apply or you do not wish to answer, choose NA
    (Not Applicable).
    Incomplete surveys are discarded and we will not receive the results.


  3. Who is selected to complete the survey?
    All University students, faculty and staff are given an opportunity to rate their experiences with the library and communicate their needs and suggestions.


  4. What status should I select if I have a dual role at the University (for example, both staff and student)?
    Select that status that best represents your role when using the library.


  5. Can I take the survey using my mobile device?
    You should be able to take the survey using any device that can access the Web via a standard browser. Due to the survey's format it should work well on tablet PCs but could be difficult to use on smartphones with small screens.


  6. When I tried to start the survey off-campus, I was asked to login. Is the survey really anonymous?
    The login is meant to limit access to the survey to current Duquesne students, faculty, and staff. Neither your personal information nor IP address is passed along to the survey when you login.
