Not at Gumberg?

When The Gumberg Library doesn't own a book you need or cannot provide access to an article, you have the following options:

E-ZBorrow - Try this first for books

If a needed book is not owned by the Gumberg Library, and is not available from a local academic library, the book may be available from an academic library in some other part of Pennsylvania. To see more information about E-ZBorrow and to request books, click this E-ZBorrow link.

ILLiad (Interlibrary Loan) - Use this for articles

For books not available locally or from other Pennsylvania libraries, and for journal articles not available through an onsite visit, your option for obtaining materials is ILLiad. Click this ILLiad link to lean more about Interlibrary Loan and to request materials.

Onsite - Use this if you need it immediately

Use WorldCat to determine which library in the Pittsburgh area has the material you need. If the needed item is a book, stop at the Reference Desk on the 4th Floor of the Gumberg Library to get the appropriate form to borrow books from local academic libraries. Then you can visit the library with the form and borrow the book yourself immediately. Be sure to have your Duquesne ID with you. Some local libraries will permit students from other institutions to use their print journals, but not to access journals or journal databases electronically.
