If you're confused about deep linking, Ask A Librarian any time of day for help.

Ovid and Deep Linking Resources

Click the links below to access the Ovid databases and more.

Books@Ovid is a health and life science journal database. Ovid's JumpStart tool creates deep links for you.

Deep Linking to eBooks in Ovid

1. When you see the article you want to read, look at the box to the right of its name.

(Click the image to see it bigger.)

Click the "Ovid Full Text" link.

2. The URL in the address box is temporary so ignore it. Look for the links above and to the right of the eBook title.

Click the "Email Jumpstart" link.

3. A window will pop up providing you the JumpStart URL.

(Click the image to see it bigger.)

The JumpStart URL is your deep link address. It appears in the blue box and in the comment box.

Click here to see the deep link to the eBook Epilepsy's Chapter 200, "Neurobiology of Behavioral Disorders".

Books@Ovid's JumpStart URL is an exception to the rule that really long URLs are temporary. Ovid's eBook deep link addresses are long because they link to a specific page and chapter within an eBook and therefore require more information in their URLs.
