A guide to understanding and creating deep links in popular research databases.

If you're confused about deep linking, Ask A Librarian any time of day for help.

Ovid and Deep Linking Resources

Click the links below to access the Ovid databases and more.

Journals@Ovid - Duquesne is a health and life science journal database. Ovid's JumpStart tool creates deep links for you.

Deep Linking to Ovid articles

1. When you see the article you want to read, look at the box to the right of its name.

(Click the image to see it bigger.)

Click the "Ovid Full Text" link.

2. The URL in the address box is temporary so ignore it. Look for the box labeled "Article Tools" on the right.

Click the "Email Jumpstart" link.

3. A window will pop up providing you the JumpStart URL.

The JumpStart URL is your deep link address.

Click here to see the deep link to the article "Drugs in Clinical Development for Alzheimer's Disease".

Journals@Ovid Full Text will work for finding articles but it will not automatically filter out articles you can't access. Use Journals@Ovid - Duquesne instead.
