Loan Periods

Loan Periods By Borrower Classification

Members of the Duquesne community may borrow materials using their DU ID
cards as long as they have no significant fines or overdue books.
Undergraduate 4 weeks
Graduate 8 weeks
Faculty 16 weeks
Part-Time Faculty 8 weeks
Administration 8 weeks
Staff 4 weeks
Alumni 4 weeks
Other schools 4 weeks
Exceptions to Standard Loan Periods
 Audiovisuals (DVD, CD, VHS, LP records, cassettes,  kits) 1 week
Curriculum center kits, puppets, manipulatives 1 week
Phenomenology Center Books

(Graduate and Faculty only, with permission)

2 weeks
Books labeled "non-circulating" 2 weeks
Laptop computers 3 hours-in library use only
Study room keys 4 hours
Headphones 3 hours-in library use only
Course Reserves
Library-use- only items Typically can be used in the library for 2 hours; some exceptions, which  circulate for longer periods.
Circulating  reserve items Generally may circulate for 1 day, 3 days or 1 week.
